Dianne (Butler) Tolliver, a 1978 graduate of Cerro Coso Community College, will be returning to Ridgecrest and holding a book signing for her book, “Living Through Troubled Times - Witnessing the Rainbow” at Red Rock Books on Tuesday, May 15th, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m.
Tolliver grew up in Ridgecrest and is a graduate of both Burroughs High School and Cerro Coso Community College. An industry-recognized motivational speaker, change agent, leadership coach, facilitator, and author, Ms. Tolliver's portfolio of customers spans across the U.S Government, commercial, and non-profit clientele. She has led over 600 retreats, off-site, and team building events with outstanding reviews, and is the owner and president of Revitalize Now, LLC based in Oakton, Virginia.
Ms. Tolliver's has a diverse professional career which spans over 30 years. She was a Senior Vice President for Growth and Innovation at Engineering Solutions and Products, LLC (ESP). As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, she was responsible for Merger and Acquisition (M&A) integration, expansion and implementation of ESP's growth strategies, process streamlining, and organizational development.
Prior to this, Ms. Tolliver was a Vice President at L-3 Communications where she established the Multiple-Award Resource Center (MRC) leveraging her expertise as a change agent. Under Ms. Tolliver's leadership, L-3's Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) task-order awards grew from $87M to $1.8B in less than 4 years while the MRC team achieved CMMI Capability Level 3 for Services.
Before joining L-3, Ms. Tolliver was a Senior Vice President at SAIC and Director of the Government Contract Support Center (GCSC). Under her leadership, the GCSC achieved $1.8B in annual revenue and CMMI Capability Level 5 for Project, Monitoring, and Control. She previously served as senior vice president for SAIC's Business and Engineering Group where she directed a 500-person organization focused on large-scale business and aerospace information technology. While at SAIC, she received two separate CEO Achievement Awards for Excellence. Prior to SAIC, Ms. Tolliver was Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Vice President for Program Operations at Boeing Information Services, where she directed enterprise CIO activities, led business process improvements and change management initiatives.
Ms. Tolliver holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, CA, and a Master of Science in Public Administration from California State University, Bakersfield, CA. She is PMP-certified through the Project Management Institute, CPO-certified by the Board of Certification for Professional Organizers, ITIL foundations certified, holds a Six-Sigma Yellow Belt, and holds a Leadership Coaching and Organizational Performance Certificate from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA. She serves on the Radford University Advisory Council for the College of Business and Economics and enjoys a variety of community volunteer activities.
Her book “Living Through Troubled Times: Witnessing the Rainbow” explores the inspiration journeys of twenty-one courageous people who encountered insurmountable storms in their lives and personally witnessed the rainbow of God's love and support. It explores a variety of challenges, from losing a job to a heart transplant to beating Stage 4 cancer.
