2025 Institutional Self Evaluation Report Feedback

Accreditation Statement

Cerro Coso Community College is preparing its institutional self-evaluation report (ISER) to submit to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) as a condition of reaffirmation of its accredited status. Once every seven years (now eight!), the college undergoes a comprehensive peer review process that includes an extensive report as well as a visit by a team of external reviewers. The last such comprehensive evaluation for Cerro Coso was in Fall 2018. The ISER is due to ACCJC in December 2024, with the campus visit scheduled for early in the fall semester 2025.

Cerro Coso encourages a broad base of participation in the preparation of the ISER. We would like your ideas on how to improve the current document. This draft version represents input already from the faculty, management, and staff teams who carried out the initial dialogue and writing, from committees and work groups relevant to the standards, and from the KCCD Board of Trustees’ Accreditation Committee, who saw an earlier draft. This draft version is available now and open for feedback until Monday, October 28th. At that time, comments from this process will be reviewed together with concluding comments from the board committee, the final document will be compiled, and a board action will be submitted for approval by the KCCD board of trustees in December. Thank you for your interest in this process, and thank you in advance for ideas for improvement!
