Emphasis is placed on the use of software tools, analysis, and modeling techniques to manage and manipulate data sources for business decision-making.

Students also acquire skills in recording and delivering presentations effectively and collaborating with others about the content of a presentation.

Learners develop skills in evaluating which tool(s) are appropriate to meet a specific objective or solve a particular problem.

Students learn how to convert a PDF document into a fillable form, prepare for signatures, solicit comments, scan for optical character reading, and evaluate for accessibility. The course also discusses the role of PDF documents in the business environment.

Students focus on the preparation of job applications, as well as interviewing for employment in a business environment. Types of business organizations, cultures, procedures, processes, chain of command, communication, and ethics are explored to provide students with the soft skills to be successful once on the job.
