Cerro Coso Rocks, the official kick-off of the fall semester, will take place in the courtyard between the Main Building and West Wing on Thursday, August 21, from 2:30 to 6 p.m. This event provides students with college resources, student IDs, counseling assistance, community resources, games, a photo booth, a DJ, free tacos (with student ID), popcorn, an ice cream social with the President, campus tours, and orientation for students and their families. Students can also meet faculty and catch up with peers.

More than 200 students, families, and members of the community attended last year's event. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to discover what it is like to attend your local college. In keeping with tradition, the event is FREE and open to all, and parking will be covered.

Cerro Coso Community College Fall 2025 classes begin Monday, August 25, 2025. Online students can start logging into classes on Saturday, August 23, so don't wait!
