Cerro Coso Rocks – a Welcome Celebration for Students and Families

Cerro Coso Rocks, the official kick-off of the fall semester, will take place in the courtyard between the Main Building and West Wing on Thursday, August 22nd from 3 to 7 p.m. This event provides students with college resources, tacos for student IDs, counseling assistance, community resources, games, a photo booth, DJ, popcorn, ice cream social with the President, campus tours, and orientation for students and their families. Further, students can meet faculty and catch up with peers!

More than 200 students, families, and members of the community attended last year's event. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to discover what it is like to attend your local college. In keeping with tradition, the event is FREE and open to all and parking will not be enforced!

Cerro Coso Community College Fall 2024 classes begin Monday, August 26, 2024. Online students can start logging into classes on Saturday, August 24th, so don't wait!

We are excited to connect with students–prospective, new, and continuing–and community members during this annual, fun-filled engagement!
