Cerro Coso Community College is delighted to announce that the Pink Ladies Auxiliary has awarded scholarships to four dedicated LVN (Licensed Vocational Nursing) students.

June Wasserman, Pink Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship Chair, presented the awards on November 12, 2024.
This year’s recipients of the $500 scholarships are Jamie Foughty, Kelsey Halsey, Blia Vang, and James Vercella.

Students applied for the Pink Ladies Scholarship, and their applications were reviewed by the Scholarship Committee, which selected recipients based on merit and dedication.

Professor Lisa Balk, MS, RN, Director of Vocational Nursing at Cerro Coso, expressed her gratitude, stating, “The Pink Ladies have provided invaluable service to Ridgecrest Regional Hospital and our community.

Supporting LVN students through scholarships during their final semester highlights their commitment to local healthcare. Our students have worked hard through the rigorous three-semester program and clinical rotations, and it is an honor to have the Pink Ladies recognize their dedication and commitment. This partnership not only celebrates their achievements but also strengthens our shared mission to provide exceptional healthcare to our community.”
