The Cerro Coso Community College Band will present their spring concert on Thursday evening, April 11, at 7:00pm in the College Lecture Center.
This will be an evening of wonderful entertainment for the entire family and at the right price! The concert will feature Holly Bergevin playing the Bourgeois Romance for Alto Saxophone and Band and a light show coordinated with music from Saturday Night Fever. Other band classics to be played are variations on a Korean Folk Song by Chance, Procession of the Nobles by Rimsky-Korsakov, Heritage of Freedom by Curnow, and others. Admission is FREE with free will donations accepted at the door.
The Cerro Coso band is composed of gifted junior and high school students, college students, and adults (some professional) and is directed by Debra Veit. The class meets Thursday and Friday evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Burroughs High School Band Room and is a wonderful example of a multi-generational group that fosters excellent performance in all.
