IWV Cerro Coso class to focus on getting the most out of your smart phoneDecember 16, 2011Ridgecrest, California – Smart phones are getting smarter and Cerro Coso is offering an advanced non-credit class to help you get the most from your smart phone. Cerro Coso Community College's Ridgecrest campus is now accepting registrations for its "Smart Phone" class through the Office of Community Education. The class is open to the public. Whether you already have a smart phone, or you are currently shopping for a smart phone, this class will help you sort out the many options available to you in the ever-changing smart phone market. Getting the Most out of Your Phone is the topic of the Advanced class. There is a $25 fee for the class which will meet on January 10 & 12, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Participants will learn tips and tricks for getting the most out of their smart phones. Valuable training will include how to set up e-mail accounts; transfer multimedia information; back up their phone's data to a computer; download, use, and update free and paid applications; transfer phone books and contacts from phone to phone; and troubleshoot problems on a smart phone. The minimum age for the class is 10 and is limited to 30 students. The class will be held on the college's Ridgecrest campus in the Learning Resource Center, Room 604.
