How to Use the Searchable Class Schedule
Step 1: Select Term
Select the term for which you wish to view class schedule information.

Step 2: Select search scope
There is a variety of ways you can search for classes. Read the information below to learn more about the individual search fields.

- By Subject
Search by course discipline, such as English, Math, Art, Media Arts, Psychology, etc...
- By Course Number
Search by Course Reference Number (CRN) such as 32705. This number can be obtained from a printed course schedule, or from the searchable schedule.
- By Location
By individual Campus Locations, such as Cerro Coso IWV, CC Online, etc. Please note; This list is not in alphabetical order so you will need to scroll down to the bottom to locate Cerro Coso Classes.

- By Campus
Search by Kern Community College District Colleges; Bakersfield, Cerro Coso, or Porterville.
- By Session
Search for either Day or Evening Classes. Leave <all> selected for search both Day and Evening Classes.
- By Start Time
Search by classes starting at a given time. This is useful if you work and only want to see classes that start after you get off work.
- By End Time
Search by classes that end at a given time. This is useful if you need to search for classes that get out at a given time.
Note: To search the full range of start and end times simply
leave the Start and End time fields to their default setting.
- By Days
Search for classes only offered on given days. Leave these checkboxes unchecked to search for all classes.
- By Open Classes Only
Search the schedule for only classes that are currently open and have seats available.

Step 3: View Classes Available
After you have indicated your search parameters you will be given a listing of classes that fit your selections.
- Course Discipline
Indicates the course discipline area, or what area of study the course is found under.
- Course Name, Number and Title
The course discipline area is abbreviated (ENGL), followed by the course number (C020), and then followed by the course title (Literacy Skills).
- Course Status
This will tell you if the class is Open, Cancelled, or Closed.
- CRN
The CRN, or Course Reference Number, is the number you will need when actually enrolling in the course.

- Credits
The number of units or credits the course is worth.
- Meeting Time
This indicates both the days and the times the course is offered.
M= Monday, T= Tuesday, W= Wednesday, R=Thursday, F= Friday, S= Saturday, U= Sunday.
- Location
This indicates what classroom and/or building the class is being offered in. Please note that if you did not specify a campus location, such as Cerro Coso KRV, but only a college campus, such as Cerro Coso, it will list all courses available in a given topic for all of our campus sites, but this listing will not specify what campus they are at, only the classroom location.
- Cap (Capacity)
Total number of seats available for the course.
- Act (Actual)
Number of seats taken.
- Rem (Remaining)
Number of open seats in the course.
- Instructor
Name of the instructor offering the course.
- Date
This indicates the date range from the start to the end of the course.
- Weeks
This indicates the number of weeks the course spans.
- Number of Classes Displayed
This indicates the total number of courses available based on your selections.
- Go Back
Click the "Go Back" link at the bottom of the page to return to the search form.
Step 4: Make Class Selections and/or register for classes
Once you have found the classes you want to take, make note of the CRN numbers to make registering for the class easier later on. If you are eligible for registration, meaning it is during or after your given
registration time, then you may log in to the system and register for your classes at this time.
